COVID-19 Is there hope?

Our hope, now and always, is Jesus Christ. There is no one else like him. He healed disease, stilled the storm and made a feast out of scraps of food. This is someone who can really help in a crisis.

Our life is a gift from God. He made us, but we all think we can manage on our own, without him. The trouble we face reminds us we cannot. Without him we die. Not even good works or religious ritual can save us.

Jesus is the answer. He suffered and died so that those who turn to him and put their trust in him can be forgiven. He conquered death, his body rising again to new everlasting life. He is alive today and will return to destroy all that is wrong, and restore the world to be like the perfect, virus-free, creation that he made in the beginning.

There is hope, even in the face of death, if we trust in what Jesus has done. It is the start of a new life, following him.

Peter lived alongside Jesus. His hope can be yours: β€˜In his great mercy God has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.’ (1 Peter 1v3)
